Does your home have these outlets?

My electrician installed some GFI (sometimes referred to as a GFCI or Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) at one of my rental properties. You may have seen these before: they’re outlets with a RESET button and a push button.

So why are these important?

Without getting too technical, they protect you from potentially deadly shocks by rapidly shutting-off electrical current (we’re talking within milliseconds!) when they sense an irregularity.

Codes and regulations are increasingly requiring them in more places in homes, so if you’re thinking of selling or renting out your home and don’t have GFI outlets, making the change now could save you time and money.

This will often come-up as an item during a home inspection to get the building up to code.

Need a recommendation for an amazing electrician who’ll charge you a fair price? Get in touch with us, and we’d be happy to connect you!
